Bloodsucking Timesucker

Damn you Lisa Vannucci. Aside from Herman Hesse and some select C.S. Lewis, I NEVER...I mean NEVER read fiction. Then Lisa told me to stop being snobby and just read Twilight. So I did. In one day. Then I read the next one. In less than one day (today). And they're really good. She was right. And in my mind Bella Swan is Ellen Page from Juno. She's totally her, Juno sarcasm included, and I'm really bitter that she won't be playing her in the movie. The End.

Ohhhhh - hadn't thought of Ellen Page. That would be perfect.

I'm a reformed snob, too. Read all three over the course of a long weekend. Movie soon...and new book!

Bella is one of the worst literary characters I have ever read. It's difficult to imagine how Edward was attracted to such a boring teenager. I did like Edward though...he was hot.

Oh Emilie, how the mighty have fallen. I am so glad that you have. Edward, he will get you every time.

Oh my GOSH, DeEtte and I are completely obsessed with these books. And we both think Ellen Page would be the most perfect Bella EVER!! Our pick for Edward is the super hot french actor Gaspard Ulliel.

I vote Jacob all the way. And Em...what do ya mean you don't read fiction? I live for fiction. Everything is fiction! Don't tell me you only watch documentaries too.

Such a painful read. Especially since it was at the expense of my gag reflex that reacted whenever Bella described Edward's voice...basically, everytime the guy spoke. The way Brian feels when his co-workers all start telling cat stories is the same way I feel when my friends start talking about these books. Ugh!

Emilie-
we have something in common. We are both fiction snobs. Although, I too broke down and read Twilight. But I refuse to read #2 (New Moon) ... I'm too big of a snob I guess.
